Therapy to Ease Residents’ Discomfort
While our primary purpose at Malachi House is to meet our residents’ immediate and basic human needs of food, shelter and comfort, our loving care is supplemented with other essentials for mind, soul and body. In addition to the traditional medical therapies used to diminish the pain and discomfort of terminal illness, Malachi House has long recognized the benefits of complementary therapies. These help ease our residents’ physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual discomfort.
We want to ensure that one’s final days are as comfortable as possible. We emphasize dignity and respect for the individual until the end of natural life, which is why music therapy is integrated into resident care.
